REMEMBER THAT THE FUNDS COLLECTED SUPPORT THE PROJECTS:
The Women Wayúu Project: This project aims at the economic empowerment of 300 indigenous women of the Wayúu ethnic group in Colombia.
Another way of doing things: This action-oriented awareness project aims to educate young people in primary and secondary schools on how to become eco-citizens and leaders of change.
From Fashion to Action (Incubator and Accelerator Program): We want to support the development of 10 social enterprises run by women through a comprehensive incubator and accelerator program, including training, coaching and access to steps.
This fund-raising event that will be held at the Ecomusee du fier monde on November 29th, 2016 at 6pm will kick out the 101 days fundraising campaign that we will be running until march 8 of 2017.
Concretely all profits collected during the campaign (including of course the event) will support these projects:
The Wayuu Women Project: economic empowerment through social entrepreneurship for aboriginal women from the ethnic group Wayuu (north of Colombia)
Objective: $15,000 to improve the living standard of 300 Wayuu women, by developing capacity in social entrepreneurship and fair trade and to help them access new international markets.
Another Style of engagement project: action oriented-awareness project aimed to sensitize children (primary and secondary school) how to become eco-citizen and change makers, through the understanding of globalization seen from the eyes of the fashion industry and how we can leverage its transformation.
Objective: $15,000 to sensitize and support 1000 kids across Canada and their social entrepreneurship awareness events.
Project From Fashion to Action (incubator & accelerator program):Local action with global impact. Support the cohort of 10 social entrepreneurs women project to reach the next level through a comprehensive incubator and accelerator program including, training, coaching and aces sot market opportunities.
Objective: $20,000 to support 10 women led project to take their project to the next level.
